OUR CRAFTS

The carpentry trade is made up of numerous highly skilled crafts.

Carpenters play an integral role in every phase of a construction project. We are the first people on the jobsite and the last to leave.

General Carpentry

General carpenters lay foundations, construct exteriors, roofs, infrastructure, and scaffolding, while also handling fine trim and finish work. They bring blueprints to life using diverse materials and techniques.

Eastern District carpenters excel in layout, measurement, cutting, erecting, and joining materials with precision and speed. Their expertise ensures high-quality, safe construction, meeting the expectations of contractors and clients.

Residential Framing

Residential and framing carpenters are versatile professionals skilled in various aspects of residential construction. They assemble and erect the framework of homes, apartments, and condos, while also installing windows, doors, trim, cabinetry, roofing, siding, insulation, and drywall.

To stay updated on new building products, styles, tools, and technology, residential carpenters are equipped with state-of-the-art training, ensuring maximum productivity and safety on the job.

Interior Systems

Interior systems carpenters specialize in assembling complex systems like acoustical ceilings, metal framing, wall partitions, and office furniture in occupied commercial and public buildings. They prioritize attention to detail, minimizing disruptions to client operations by protecting furnishings and adjusting schedules. They excel in solving mid-project challenges and delivering accurate work, resulting in projects meeting owner, facility manager, general contractor, and customer expectations.

Millwrights

Millwrights install, maintain, diagnose, and repair various equipment, from compressors to turbines, in critical industries like power plants, automotive, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals.

Precision is key, and millwrights often work with tolerances to a thousandth of an inch. Ongoing UBC training ensures expertise in tool usage. The UBC’s millwright program, led by a national committee, seeks industry partnerships to maintain high standards that exceed customer expectations.
